Danielle joined the practice in April 2013.  She was previously the Biodiversity & Ecology Officer at Monmouthshire County Council, a post which she occupied from 2008 until her present appointment.  Prior to that she held a post-doctoral position at the Wales Biomass Centre, one of Wales’ foremost departments in biomass and energy crops research, working in collaboration with IGER (now IBERS) as part of the EU funded Helyg I Gymru – Willow for Wales project. This post followed on from her PhD from Cardiff University in The Biodiversity of Short Rotation Willow Coppice in Wales with Particular Reference to Birds.  She also has a BSc (Hons) in Zoology also from Cardiff University. Danielle has extensive knowledge and experience of planning and legislation matters, particularly with respect to protected species and designated sites having dealt with a large number of planning applications and projects involving protected species licensing and Habitats Regulations Assessments.  She is familiar with a range of GIS and mapping technologies.
