A new development will often have an impact upon protected species. The Local Planning Authority will frequently ask for an ecological survey to be carried out, which we can provide. Our company will carry out surveys on your behalf and, if necessary, liaise with the local authority's ecology team.

Many projects require mitigation for the development. This may involve the erection of reptile or great crested newt-proof fencing. DCE will install the fencing and conduct the necessary surveys. We will also provide an Ecological Clerk of Works, who will ensure that the development complies with national and European legislation. Projects may involve:
