- Specialised hedgerow surveys, for example using the DEFRA methodology, Hedgerow Evaluation Grading System (HEGS) and the 1997 Hedgerow Regulations criteria
- Habitat assessments for protected species, such as dormouse, badger, bats, water vole, great crested newt, reptiles and marsh fritillary butterfly etc
