DCE Ltd provided the ecological input for Environmental Statements for a series of proposed quarry extensions. The work included full surveys of flora and fauna (including great crested newt, breeding/wintering birds, dormouse, bats, badger and reptiles), and design of restoration etc. An Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) was carried out, which included assessment of possible impacts to nearby Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and various SSSIs in the vicinity.
