For six years DCE Ltd annually monitored the aquatic invertebrates and vegetation of reens (drainage ditches) in a large area of severed coastal grazing marsh which forms part of the Gwent Levels, and which supports a wide variety of rare, notable and Red Data Book plants, insects and other invertebrates. This work was carried out in relation to various business park, office and retail developments on the site.
