DCE Ltd provided the ecological input for the Environmental Statements for a series of proposed quarry extensions in Bridgend. The work included full surveys of flora and fauna (including great crested newt, breeding and wintering birds, dormouse, bats, badger and reptiles) and design of quarry restoration etc. An Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) was carried out in each quarry which also included the assessment of possible impacts to nearby Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and various SSSIs in the vicinity.
