David Clements Ecology Ltd

Anne Clements graduated from Cardiff University in 1982 and holds a joint honours degree in biochemistry and chemistry, although she has always had a passion for ecology and the natural world. As one of the founding Directors, she mainly works for the practice as a field ecologist.

Anne is an experienced botanical and protected species surveyor, including Extended Phase 1, hedgerow and River Corridor Surveys, BREEAM & CSH assessments for ecology, and Phase 2 surveys for fauna including bats, badger, otter, dormouse, birds, great crested newt and invertebrates. She has been involved in the design of mitigation and enhancement for planning and development, and in the implementation of mitigation and monitoring schemes. She is fully conversant with current legislation and policy, and is currently developing her skills in NVC survey. Anne holds protected species licences for barn owl and great crested newt, and is an accredited agent with respect to bats. She has a special interest in birds, badger and invertebrates, particularly flies (Diptera). In addition to her professional memberships she is also a member of the Glamorgan Bird Club and the Dipterists Forum.
